National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination is a national level examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The examination conducted twice in a year as NDA I and NDA II for selecting cadets in National Defence Academy and Naval Academy.

- Candidates should qualify 10+2 examination from any recognised institution with an aggregate mark of 50%.
- For Air force and naval wings of the students should qualifying the 10+2 examination in science subjects.
- Age of applicants should be between 16 to 19 years.
- Candidates should be an unmarried man, a citizen of India or subject of Bhutan, subject of Nepal or a Tibetan refugee came to India before 1st January 1962 or a person migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Uganda, and Zambia.
- To apply for NDA, the candidates should be physically fit according to the physical standards of National Defence and Naval Academy.
- NDA is an offline exanimation where all questions are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
- NDA has conducted in 2 sessions. First is a written examination and the second session is accompanied by an SSB interview.
- The test has conducted in Part A and Part B
- Part A consists of questions from Mathematics and Part B consists of questions from the General Ability Test.
- Both parts can be attended in either Hindi or English languages

Candidates who are qualified for a session I can appear for Session II comprises of Interview.

- Applicants can apply the examination through online by visiting the mentioned website.
- The application form consists of 2 stages viz. Part I and Part II.
- Candidates have to enter their details like name, date of birth, gender, religion, marital status, Education qualification, communication address, and a valid email id & mobile number.
- The future updates and communication will inform through the given mobile number or email id.
- Applicants have to upload passport size photograph and signature and documents regarding the reservation and ID proof in the prescribed format mentioned in the guidelines of NDA.
- After entering all details, they have to pay application fees according to their categories.
- Application fees can be paid either through online or offline. Candidates are required to pay Rs. 100 either by using Credit/Debit/Net banking or by depositing the money in any branch of SBI.
- Multiple applications from a single candidate are not permitted.
- After the successful submission of the application and the examination fees, they can take a print out of the confirmation for future reference.
