Eligibility of Common Admission Test
- There is no upper age limit for applying CAT.
- There will be no restriction in the case of the number of attempts.
- Candidates should pass the graduation from any recognised university with an aggregate mark of 50%.
- The UG final years can also apply for CAT. But the candidates have to submit the degree certificate at the time of admission.
- Candidates belonging to reserved categories should have a minimum mark of 45% in their degree course.
Exam pattern of Common Admission Test
- CAT is a computer-based online examination.
- Questions will be extracted from verbal ability& Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation &Logical Reasoning.
- The will be 100 number of questions with a total mark of 300.
- The questions consist of both multiple-choice questions and Non-Multiple choice questions.
- Each correct answer carries 3 marks and a negative mark for wrong answers.
- The language of exams will be in English.

How to apply for Common Admission Test?
Applicants should read the instruction and guidelines of CAT from the official website before applying for the Test.
- Candidates have to register for CAT on their official website. For registration, applicants have to enter their name, email id, phone number, and nationality.
- After verifying the CAT registration with OTP authentication, candidates will receive a user ID and password to their given Email ID or Mobile Number.
- Applicants have to log in the application form with the received user ID and password.
- In the application form, they have to enter details like name, date of birth, gender, communication address, and category.
- In addition to that, the candidates have to provide their academic qualifications, work experience.
- Applicants must upload the documents like scanned passport size photograph, signature and reservation documents,
- Candidates have to select the IIM campus and programs that they want to select.
- Again the students have to choose their examination centres according to their preferences.
- After submitting the application form, applicants have to to pay the application fees.
- The application fees can pay through online using Debit/Credit/Net Banking and UPI mode.
- After this, candidates can take the print out of the confirmation page of the application for future reference.
