Common Management Admission Test is a National level entrance examination for Management programs. Previously CMAT is conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) as per the directions of Ministry of Human Resources Development. Currently, this is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
- CMAT is a computer-based online test consist of 100 questions from each section like Language Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness and Data Interpretation.
- The Duration of the Examination is 3 hours.
- Candidates have to apply separately to their desired CMAT institute with the CMAT score of the respective season.
- Each institution will set its Cut-off marks for qualifying CMAT.
- Candidates have to meet the preset Cut-off marks
- Once qualified, candidates have to present for selection procedures (like Group Discussion and Personal Interview) of that particular institute.

Eligibility of CMAT
The eligibility criteria for CMAT are as follows.
- The candidate should qualify a Bachelors Degree with an aggregate mark of 50%.
- The graduation should be qualified from any recognised university.
- Students who are applying the final year examination can apply for CMAT.
- There are no age restrictions for appearing CMAT examination
- Foreigners can also apply for the exam as per the rules and guidelines prescribed by the Association of Indian Universities.

- The questions for the examination will be prepared from the four areas like General Awareness, Language Comprehension, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation.
- The questions are multiple type questions (Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)).
- Each section carries 25 questions.
- Mark for each question is 4
- Total marks for the exam is 400
- The negative mark (1%) for wrong answers will be deducted.
- The unanswered question has no marks.
- Candidates are not allowed to carry instruments, Geometry, Pencil box, mobile phone or any other electronic or technical devices.
Instructions for Applying CMAT Examination
- Candidates can apply for CMAT examination by visiting the website of National Testing Agency (NTA) www.nta.ac.in
- Multiple application forms of the single applicant will be disqualified.
- Before applying for the examination the candidates have to generate an application number
- After that, they have to fill their general information including name,gender, date of birth, communication address, and education qualification details.
- Candidates have to upload their scanned image and signature in the prescribed format which is mentioned in the Information Bulletin.
- They can select the Examination centre for CMAT
- Applicants have to provide their valid Email id and Mobile number at the time of filling their application form.
- Fees are applicable for the exam.
- Valid Credit/ Debit card or Net Banking can be used to pay the fees through Online mode.
- Candidates can take the print out of the Application form after submitting the same.
- No correction can be made after applying for CMAT.
The applicants may receive communications regarding admit cards and further changes through Email or SMS.
