UGC has approved 38 Indian universities to conduct online undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) courses. Among these 38 universities, approval has given to 13 State Universities, 15 Deemed to be universities and 3 central universities. In addition to that Manipal University, Chandigarh University and OP Jindal university are also included in the list. As per the order, the central universities can offer public administration and Jamia Milia Islamia as a postgraduate program through online mode. The details of courses which are going to provided by some universities are as follows.

JNU will open an online program for M.A. in Sanskrit, 4-degree programs by Mizoram University, and the M.A. English and M. Com Courses will be provided by the University of Jammu. These updation will help the education industry to work properly without facing blockade even in this pandemic situation. Previously UGC has already invited applications from interested universities and colleges to conduct online courses for the academic year 2020-2021. So the approval for online programs allows the colleges to open their programs without any prior consent from UGC.
