Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released their official notification related to the opt facility for the CA Final, Intermediate, IPC and PQC and CA Foundation for July 2021 examination. In this context, the students who belong to the old batch requested the examination committee and ICAI to an extent their validity and examination attempts. The last attempt of old course final and IPC students has also been extended till November 2021 cycle. The Council has granted 6 attempts for the CA Final old course. But many students have opt-out directly to May 2021 cycle from November 2021 cycle. The July 2021 cycle will be their 5th attempt.
Even though ICAI has issued notification regarding the opt-out facility, it failed to address many concerns. The notification has failed to include the other relatives of the students who belong to the joint families in the definition of family members. Students were also living in hostels for completing and pursuing this program. Again, the notification didn’t mention the students who may infect the pandemics from their roommates or hostel mates. And the same way they failed to address those relatives’ students who live with their in-laws.
By placing all these concerns students urge the authorities to address these issues for extending the opt-out facilities for the old course students on an urgent basis as the exam dates are already declared to.
