Joint Entrance Examination Advanced 2021 is going to conducted by IIT Kharagpur. The exam dates and subsequent announcements have nullified due to the second wave of COVID 19 and lockdown restrictions on different states. But the students who are eligible to attend the JEE advanced 2020 can attend the JEE advanced 2021 if they are unable to attend the 2020 session due to covid restrictions. This will be considered as the first of its kind move. The brochure which was already prepared can give the information about exam patterns, the availability of seats in various streams, policies and guidelines. The further details about the registration, admission and counselling will be updated soon by the authority.
As mentioned earlier, the institute professor, IIT Madras and the former director of IIT Ropar Sarit Das elaborate that students who were qualified for JEE Advanced 2020 and unable to attempt the same session due to pandemic restrictions have the opportunity to attempt the JEE Advanced 2021 exam as on one-time measure. Even though the lockdown restrictions were lightened, it will be difficult for the authority to forecast the exact dates of the upcoming exam sessions.
Current and the previous pandemic situations are almost similar so it will be difficult to increase exam centres unless the situation takes a turn for the worse.
