UGC released the vacancy of Junior Consultant for the postgraduates on a contract basis. The job profile intends to perform various activities under Distance Education Bureau. The number of vacancies created for this post is 8 where the consultancy fee will vary from 50000 to 60000 p.m. the exact payment details will be decided at the time of selection by the concerned authority.
The candidates who apply for this vacancy must be post-graduates with minimum marks of 55% in any discipline (official notification didn’t mention). As the activities are related to the Distance Education Bureau, the applicants should have a broad knowledge and understanding about Distance or online education. In addition to these, handling computer-related works, the capability to use MS -Office, Excel, the internet and the ability to work in a multi functionary work environment are required for this post.
So far, the maximum age limit of the applicant must be years and the last date to apply is 12/07/2021. As mentioned, the junior Consultant is appointed for 6 months and can be extended based on the performance of the employees.

A junior consultant has to perform the various duties including:
- Assist the concerned department to handle academic and administrative works following the rules and regulations of the concerned department.
- Assist and monitoring the performance of universities or institutions that offers distance or online education.
- Works related with the grants and other related matters
- Handling the RITs and court cases related to the distance Education/Online mode of education
- And all other duties assigned by UGC have to perform by the junior consultant.
