Indian Space Research Organisation has invited applications for two online courses namely, Geospatial modelling through watershed Management and Geospatial Technology for Hydrological Modelling. These courses are provided through its Indian Institute of Remote Sensing Centre. This program aims to provide an overview of the use of geospatial technology for watershed management and the principles of watershed management.
The course is sponsored by the National Natural Resource Management System, Standing Committee on Training and Education, ISRO, and the Department of Space Government of India. the students or participants do not have to pay fees for this program. All students can attend the classes through https://eclass.iirs.gov.in/ or the Youtube channel of IIRS https://www.youtube.com/user/edusat2004. The students will be eligible for the certificates, only if they attend 70% of the live classes through e-portal or should mark their attendance via offline sessions (for classes through youtube channels) after 24 hours.
Graduate in Science/ Agriculture Science/ Agricultural or Civil Engineering or those who can understand the basic concepts of Remote Sensing and GIS can participate in these sessions. The courses will be conducted from August 2, 2021, to August 6, 2021. The applicants can submit their application through https://elearning.iirs.gov.in/edusatregistration/student.
