GRADUATE PHARMACY APTITUDE TEST (GPAT)

Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test is 3 hours online examination conducted by National Testing Agency. The test is conducted for the admissions to the masters of pharmacy program. 

  • GPAT scores are accepted by AICTE – Approved institutions/Colleges/university departments.
  • The application for GPAT can be submitted online.
  • After qualifying GPAT, the applicants have to apply for the institutions and colleges separately for M.Pharm admission (where the GPAT scores are accepted).

Eligibility of Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test

  • The candidate should qualify the graduation in pharmacy from a recognised college or university. 
  • There is no age restriction for applying GPAT.
  • The candidate should be an Indian citizen.
  • The applicants who are appearing the graduation in pharmacy can apply for GPAT but the result should be announced before the commencement of the new batch of M.Pharm.

Exam Pattern of Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test

  • GPAT is a computer-based examination which is conducted for 3 hours.
  • The language of the questions will be in English.
  • There will be 125 multiple choice questions where there will be negative marks for the wrong answers.
  • Each correct answer will carry four marks 
  • (-1) mark will be deducted for wrong answers.

How to apply for GPAT?

  • Candidates have to visit the website ntagpat.nic.in for applying GPAT.
  • At first, the candidates have to register the application by entering a valid email id, mobile number and create a password.
  • Applicants have to log in by using the application number and password.
  • Fill the application form by entering the name, date of birth, gender, communication details, education qualification and also the exam centres.
  • Candidates have to upload the scanned photograph and signature in the prescribed format mentioned in the website.
  • After the submission of the application form, the applicants have to pay the fee through online using Debit/Credit card/Net Banking.
