D. Pharm. – Diploma in Pharmacy

D. Pharm. is an undergraduate Diploma Course in the medical field of pharmacy. This filed is included in the preparation, dispensing and appropriate use of medication used for therapeutic purposes. This course provide qualification to be a registered Pharmacist in India. There is no specialization in D. Pharm. and the course just provides the basic concepts of pharmaceutical science. This course opens several career opportunities for aspirants. This course is divided into two parts i.e. Part I and Part II. The course has been designed to prepare candidates to work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist in hospitals, community pharmacies, and other pharmaceutical related fields.

Duration: The duration of course is 2-years. 

Eligibility:

  • Candidate need to pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics.
  • A minimum aggregate score of 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) at the 10+2 level.
  • Some institutes also conducts Entrance Test for admission.

Entrance Tests: Part I examination is conducted to examine students of the first year course and Part II is conducted to examine students of the second year course.
