Kerala Chief Minister has approved the higher education classes to start from October 4, 2021, onwards. The re-opening has been announced for the final year batch of undergraduate, postgraduate programs. Currently, the decisions to re-open the schools are not decided.

For re-opening, the schools and colleges all staff and students need to be vaccinated, at least first dose COVID vaccine. Those who are not vaccinated are instructed to take their second vaccine doses at the earliest. Those teachers and staff who do not get the first dose must take the same within this week.
The re-opening of schools may consider in a phased manner and the vaccination of the students will be based on approvals from the Central government and experts.
