Previously, the board has decided to set the evaluation criteria for class 12 students by combining the performance of classes 10 and 11. This evaluation method was suggested as the students had to defer their exams by considering COVID 19 situations.

Board also instructed the affiliated schools to ensure comparability and fairness at the high range of marks and make sure that there is no bunching of total marks in the range of 95 and above. That is, the number of students who are scoring 95% overall should not be more than the number to achieve similar results. To ensure this fairness schools have to check that the students with overall marks in the range of 95 and above this year is not more than the number of students scoring in the best historic performance of the last three years. All the guidelines related to the software for uploading moderation marks are available from the official portal.
